Ms. documents. Digitization funded by The National Library of Israel. A. and M. Nusbaum's accounts (MS 10428) apparently date from the 1930's and 40's (Nusbaum documents here range from 1880-1929); Aaron and Meyer Nussbaum emigrated from Poland in the mid-19th cent., just after the Civil War (cf. Rosenberg, The Jewish Community in Rochester [New York, 1954], pp. 52, 55). Yiddish, with some Hebrew, and a little English. The Abraham J. and Deborah B. Karp Collection of American Judaica. |
