Abstract/Description: This small collection is comprised of correspondence between Joshua Joffe and his colleagues and students, speeches and writings, material pertaining to Joffe's death, correspondence from Joffe's daughter, Beatrice Joffe Maier, to prominent Seminary leaders like Louis Finkelstein and David Kogen, information regarding a lecture given about Joffe in 1991, and Beatrice Joffe Maier's writings. Among Joffe's most prominent correspondents are Sabato Morais, Stephen Wise, and Mortiz Speier on behalf of the Rabbinical Assembly. Included in the collection is a speech given by Joffe in 1908 to Seminary Alumni. Also of note are materials pertaining to the speech given about Joffe and the Seminary's early days, entitled, "Joshua Joffe and his Pupil Friends," given in March of 1991 by Rabbi Robert Fierstein.
