| Abstract/Description: | The Conservative Movement Vertical Files consists of very small collections, ephemeral items, and printed information documenting the history of the Conservative movement and the Jewish Theological Seminary. Of note here are JTS publications, including commencement and convocation programs, and information brochures. Also of note are a few very small collections of personal papers, including papers of Moritz Speier (1903-1957); correspondence between Solomon Schechter and Charles I. Hoffman (1904-1913, photocopies); Joshua Joffe (1890’s-1987), and a transcript of a memoir of Joseph Abrahams, JTS secretary (1903-1950’s), including his reminiscences of Solomon Schechter. | |
