Loukomski (1884-1952) was a graphic artist, architectural critic and historian. He studied in the Architectural School at St. Petersburg's Academy of Arts. During his travels throughout Europe he completed architectural sketches later shown in numerous exhibitions held in Europe. He was the author of articles, books, monographs and guidebooks on Russian and Ukranian architecture. He moved from Kiev to Paris, finally settling in London in 1940.
