| Abstract/Description: | Corporal punishment, (floggings) specifics as carried out within modern society. Kashrut. Freedom of religion is also freedom from religion. Democratic state doesn't prioritize or grant privileges to a particular religion, thus it doesn't interfere with the practice of religion. The problem of only having three larger recognized religions in Israel, excluding agnostics, etc., which could lead to problems for non-affiliated individuals when getting married, divorced, etc. How this affects legislative proceedings. Orthodox elements obstructs the state and civil matters with its restrictions. May not even recognize JTS ordination. Religious courts should function as voluntary arbitration, and thus could exist without interfering with civil legislation, etc. Seperation of state and religion. | |
