Manuscript codex Title page (fol. 1r): "ספר צרי גלעד על ספר התשבי, אשר טפחתי ורביתי אני הצעיר על ספר התשבי שחבר המדקדק הגדול ה"ה אלי' בחור, ומספר שרשיו כמנין תשבי, ובספרי זה העתקתי ממנו סך ארבע מאות ושבעה כמנין צר"י גלע"ד, אשר עליהם הגהתי הן בהשגות והן בביאור דבריו והצלתיו מיד קצת מריביו. ואחר אכלה כל אלה [אח]בר חלק שני אשר יקרא בשם תושבי גלעד, שמה יבואו כל השרשים הכתובים פה, גם אלה אשר השמטתים מפה, בקצרה...ומשפט זה הספר ומעשהו...יעיין הקורא בהקדמתי וידע עד תומו. דברי הכותב שמעלקא וויינטרויב." Colophon (fol. 178r): "תמו דברי המחברת הזאת...וברוך ה' שעזרני לסיים...ארבע מאות ושבעה כמספר צר"י גלע"ד. ובזה המנין שרשי הספר מתייחסים לשמי אשר חי נפשי לא' כוונתי ליה כמספר לשמוא"ל; גם עולה כמספר ייחוסי על שם אבי ז"ל בן דמוה דוב ויינטראב; גם עולה זה המספר על שם עיר מושבי ומושב אבותי מיזעפ"ף דויסי"ל."
